Beijing hit by smog

Flights cancelled at Beijing hit by Smog
Hundreds of flights have been cancelled at Beijing Capital International Airport with smog making it unsafe for planes to operate.
Conditions deteriorated across much of the north of the country with pollution also closing a number of motorways.
Weather forecasts suggest the fog will clear on Wednesday at the earliest, potentially hitting thousands of potential passengers.
More than 200 flights were cancelled during the course of Monday.
The airport is the second busiest in the world.
