With 63 rooms U Desertscape Jodhpur will be a destination resort, located on the beautiful outskirts of Jodhpur. The overall design for the hotel will be strongly influenced from an architectural and design view encompassing a Rajasthan and Hacienda ambience - a contemporary yet indigenous atmosphere throughout the resort. The layout of the resort will cultivate Jodhpur style comfort with a modernity of facilities. A pool in the style of a Bundi will be typical of the features, plus an abundance of vegetation of the region such orange trees and date palms that will be planted substantially to add to the character of the resort. Other facilities will include two restaurants, conference facilities, a gym and library.
Absolute Hotel Services India announced a take over of the management of Desertscape Jodhpur Resort as of March 15, 2011. This announcement follows last year’s announcement of the new build 63-room U Desertscape Jodhpur that is due to open in 2012. The two resorts are owned by the same developer, Prescon Hospitality Pvt. Ltd.
Jodhpur is the second largest city in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is called the Gateway to Thar, as it is literally on the edge of the Thar Desert. It is also called the Sun City as the sun shines almost every day of the year.
Projects already announced under technical services and management contracts with Absolute Hotel Services India include U KBJ Grand Varanasi, U KBJ La Casa Bella Goa, U KBJ Stupas Kushinagar, U KBJ Five Colours Bodhgaya, U KBJ Touchstone Khajuraho and Eastin Sun Pune.
